What this service is

Tax Refund Mexico helps foreign tourists prepare a Mexico IVA refund case, send the required documents, and follow the case through the authorized refund process. Eligibility, departure validation, approval, and refund amounts remain subject to SAT rules.

Our first-party legal declaration is that the service is operated by Grupo Pandal Servicios, S.A.P.I. de C.V. (RFC EDU2403151A3) under authorization from YVESAM Retornos Mundiales, S.A. de C.V.

Tax Free's legacy site identifies YVESAM as owner of the Tax Free brand. That first-party declaration supports the brand relationship stated on this site; SAT's separate public record verifies YVESAM's concession.

Grupo Pandal Servicios is the current legal name of the same company formerly named EDUNIC, S.A.P.I. de C.V. The corporate name changed in 2026; the legal entity and RFC EDU2403151A3 did not. Older first-party pages and records may still show EDUNIC during the transition.

Important distinction The SAT record verifies YVESAM's concession. It does not independently verify the separate operating relationship between Grupo Pandal and YVESAM; that relationship is our own legal declaration.

Who does what

Grupo Pandal

Operates the Tax Refund Mexico site and service, handles tourist interactions, and prepares cases under its stated authorization from YVESAM. Grupo Pandal is not presented as the concession holder.

YVESAM

The company named by SAT as holder of concession SAT.AGRS.CONCESIÓN.002/07-002, renewed for the period from March 27, 2018 through March 27, 2028.

SAT

Mexico's tax authority. SAT sets the federal tourist IVA refund rules and publishes the official concession information. Neither Tax Refund Mexico nor Grupo Pandal is SAT.

You

The tourist. You must provide accurate documents and complete any required departure verification. Using a private service does not replace SAT's eligibility requirements.

Departure points in the official YVESAM record

SAT's public PDF for YVESAM lists five air and eight sea departure points. The dedicated Mexico airport and seaport VAT refund guide identifies each airport, adds the IATA codes, and separates the official listing from current operational details that must be confirmed before travel.

What the official listing does not promise

The concession record establishes YVESAM's listed authorization and departure points. By itself, it does not establish:

  • current counter locations or opening hours;
  • that Tax Refund Mexico operates at every listed departure point;
  • that a particular purchase or claim qualifies;
  • same-day approval, a fixed payment date, or a guaranteed refund.

Check your route and case requirements before departure. The practical sequence is explained in how the Mexico tourist VAT refund works.
